BREAKING NEWS - CMS Releases Two Competitive Bid Announcements
Literally minutes ago, CMS released two important documents announcing the imminent release
of the National Competitive Bidding Final Rule. The two announcements do not offer any further
information as to the final selection of MSAs to be affected nor do they address products or
product categories. However, this is the first substantial release from CMS in many weeks and
warrants your full attention.
MED will be analyzing these releases and will be ready upon the release of the final rule April
10th to implement its program designed to empower MED member companies affected by competitive
bidding to make a reasoned decision about their participation in the program and to assist them
in their efforts.
MED will continue to provide timely and accurate information about competitive bidding as it
becomes available.
