The MED Group encourages Member participation and interaction with our Contract Supplier Partners and fellow MED Members in a variety of ways. We believe that direct contact between Suppliers and Members allows for improved market conditions, resulting in improved product development, improved pricing strategies, and improved business solutions.

Product Councils The MED Group established six independent Product Councils to help monitor market conditions in specific segments of the HME industry. Theses product segments include HME, rehab, respiratory, enteral, medical/surgical, and accessibility. Each council is comprised of member representatives with expertise in purchasing, sales, reimbursement, and service. They provide feedback regarding changes in the market in relation to pricing, product development, reimbursement, and performance standards.

Networks Network Members have in-depth interaction with many MED Contract Supplier Partners and fellow MED Members during the National Rehab and National Respiratory Network seminars and the Technical Training Schools that are a part of the Certified Repair Center program. These forums are limited in number to allow for detailed discussions and training on products, services, and/or industry issues.

E-conferences Members are invited to attend e-conferences which spotlight a particular supplier, product, or industry related issue, such as Medicare Coding. These e-conferences allow for Member education, input, and networking.

Discussion Forums The MED Group has established online forums for MED Group Members and Contract Suppliers to exchange information and discuss the important issues relating to our profession and industry. Members also have a Member’s Only discussion forum.

Purchasing Roundtables Regularly scheduled Purchasing Roundtable conference calls provide MED Member Purchasing Directors with networking opportunities and a forum to discuss issues directly related to product acquisition.
